Linglong Tire Helps Rural Revitalization and Biodiversity Conservation, Promoting Sustainable Development of Natural Rubber Industry

In 2025, Linglong Tire launched a groundbreaking sustainable natural rubber project in Yunnan, which carries Linglong's deep practice of sustainable development, enhances the sustainable livelihoods of small-scale rubber farmers, promotes forest protection and supply chain transparency construction, and achieves the organic unity of economic and ecological benefits.
On October 15th to 16th, Linglong Tire organized a delegation of 19 cross disciplinary experts from enterprises and institutions such as Geely Automobile, Chery Automobile, and Global Sustainable Natural Rubber Platform (GPSNR) to go deep into the front line of the project, conduct immersive field investigations, and witness the innovative practice of green transformation of the supply chain together.

Direct dialogue with the community

This project helps approximately 2000 farmers and 10000 hectares of rubber plantations in the area purchased by Linglong to achieve sustainable management of natural rubber through FSC certification, and to develop ecosystem restoration training courses. The Linglong Tire inspection team went deep into the Hani ethnic settlement area, had frank exchanges with small farmers and women representatives, witnessed the progress of sustainable management practices in small-scale rubber plantations, and the challenges and opportunities at the forefront of the rubber supply chain.

 

 

 

Demonstration of integrated innovation

This project will build a new ecological rubber collection station, which forms a sharp and powerful contrast between traditional and dilapidated rubber collection points and ecological rubber collection stations. This demonstration facility integrates multiple innovations:

Intelligent glue collection enables efficient weighing, data collection, and payment for glue farmers;

Sewage treatment system to reduce its impact on the environment;

Traceable IT systems extend transparency from forests to factories;

On site restrooms and dedicated rest areas to improve the well-being of local rubber farmers.

 

 

 

Best practices in mixed farming and forestry

In Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, effective methods such as natural forest restoration in ecologically sensitive areas and promotion of mixed farming and forestry technologies in suitable areas have been explored.

 

 

The smooth implementation of the sustainable natural rubber project is another successful practice of Linglong in the field of sustainable development.
